Tungsten Electrode
Our company is a professional TIG tungsten electrode manufacturer in China. Tungsten electrode is widely used in daily glass melting, optical glass melting, thermal insulation materials, glass fiber, rare earth industry and other fields. Tungsten electrode has advantages in arc striking performance with high arc column stability and low electrode loss rate. The electrode loss of TIG welding under the high temperature generated by arc is quite low, it is called tungsten electrode ablation. This is a normal phenomenon.
Tungsten electrode is used for TIG welding. It is a tungsten alloy strip made by adding about 0.3% – 5% rare earth elements such as cerium, thorium, lanthanum, zirconium and yttrium into the tungsten matrix by powder metallurgy, and then processed by press working. Its diameter is from 0.25 to 6.4mm, and its standard length is from 75 to 600mm. Tungsten zirconium electrode can only be welded in alternating current environment. Tungsten thorium electrode is widely used in DC welding field. With the properties of non-radiation, low melting rate, long welding life, and good arcing performance, Tungsten cerium electrode is most suitable for low current welding environment.
